Woodland Hills is an affluent neighborhood, located in the in the southwest area of the San Fernando Valley, bordered by Calabasas to the west and Tarzana to the East. It is home to Warner Center, a business development, which includes The Village shopping area, Kaiser Permanente, AIG and Farmers Insurance. Woodland Hills boasts some of the highest rated schools in the San Fernando Valley. Public and charter schools in Woodland Hills fall into two school districts. The majority of schools are part of The Los Angeles Unified School District, while Chaparral Elementary School is part of The Las Virgenes Unified School District. There are also several private and religiously-affiliated schools in the area. Woodland Hills is also home to Los Angeles Pierce College and West Valley Occupational Center.

Woodland Hills has several parks to suit the fancy of families and outdoors enthusiasts alike. The newly redesigned, sports-themed Shoup Park/ Woodland Hills Recreation Center features a children’s playground, pool, and baseball/softball fields, a hiking trail, as well as an indoor gym. The Warner Ranch Park features outdoor events throughout the year, including Concerts in the Park and Movies on the Green during the summer. Anchored by Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Target, Westfield Topanga, features more than 300 stores and restaurants. You’ll find luxury stores including Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Burberry, while still being able to make a quick Target run, within the same mall. As for dining, Westfield Topanga features an expansive food court and sit down restaurants like California Pizza Kitchen and Cheesecake Factory.

For a larger selection of restaurants, locals visit The Village, an outdoor mall located just across the street from Westfield Topanga. A free trolley is available between the centers. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, barbecue, Italian or just a hot dog, you’ll find it at The Village. The outdoor mall is home to Il Fornaio, Lucille’s, Larsen’s Steakhouse and more than a dozen other restaurants. You’ll also find several boutique stores-- such as Rent the Runway and Irene’s Story—home furnishings stores, including Crate & Barrel and Video & Audio Center-- a Costco, 24 Hour Fitness, Burke Williams Spa, YogaWorks and REI.

Just down the road from the Westfield centers, is a large outdoor strip mall, featuring Nordstrom Rack and Saks OFF 5TH
